Crave adventure, in another WORLD?
Scuba Diving may be for you !

That's exactly what we quickly found out. Scuba Diving really is out of this world (At least the one we stand on !)

We once asked ourselves, Scuba diving...? as a recreational sport...? who us...? Well in no time at all, we went from diver wanna-bees, to certified divers, to discovering the amazing and hidden underwater world of the tropics..

Tropic beach
Ahhh yes... the tropics... the beaches, the local cultures and great food, the warm sun beating down on you while sipping on your favorite drink and swaying to the soft breeze... Ahhh yes... the tropics... and all this is waiting for you after you dive !!!

(and those of you who don't dive yet !)

Many of you have probably wondered at some point what diving might be like; let me help you with that.

Tropic beach Go on, give this a try and no cheating...

Close your eyes for a second and imagine yourself diving the warm and pristine waters of the Caribbean and Mexico, freely exploring incredible shipwrecks, or drifting along beautiful coral reefs while being completely surrounded by incredibly colored sea creatures... and except for your air bubbles flowing gracefully back to the surface... not a sound !

To my fellow divers, Sorry for bringing back these memories and that urge to get wet again... soon !

... And for everyone else wondering if you can do this thing people call scuba diving, the answer is a resounding YES, YES, YES, you can learn to do this, no matter where you live !

After years of beating around the bush and trying to find something we could do together that would be new, be a great learning experience, exciting and definitely be a WOW subject by the office coffee machine, a good friend of ours (actually a Dive master, also known as Dan the scuba man) finally convinced us to put on a wet suit, gear up and try scuba diving.

After getting through the proper diving course (Very Important!), which includes a lot of interesting and important class sessions, we took our first breaths underwater in our instructors’ pool.

What a feeling! But wait, the hook was just being set! During our certification dives, the hook was set forever!

Robert Gaskin Shipwreck - Canada

At 60 feet, in the Saint Lawrence Seaway in Canada, we came upon.....a sunken shipwreck... There it stood in all its glory, The Robert Gaskin, a wooden barge that met it's fate in 1889, still reasonably intact!

That's it, we swallowed the line, sinker and hook.... a fish couldn't be more in more trouble !

Then we thought, wow, we're certified divers, now what? We live in Canada, where do we go? (And no, we don't live in igloos all year round!)

Well, my better half has been in the travel industry for over 20 years and we sure took advantage of that knowledge. Our diving experiences over the years have been fantastic!

Much so, that we thought that it would be a great idea to combine our diving knowledge and travel expertise and share that with you !

How does diving in 2 or 3 countries on one vacation trip sound? Yes, we’ll tell you how to do this by way of using cruise lines to get you there. Enjoy the luxuries of cruise lines and the wonder of the seas. Then dive or snorkel at the various ports of call on your voyage.

Please join us in our journey and we'll tell you about our Scuba diving class experiences, the basics of Scuba and necessary scuba diving equipment. We'll talk about the dive sites we visited during our travels and those of our network of dive colleagues.

Best of all, provide you with great tips on how to get there, where to stay, where to eat and what to do when you’re not diving!

Enjoy !
